Stuart Schmidt wasn’t born “in” the Klondike, but he is born “of” the Klondike. He was reared as an infant at Quartz Creek in a camp that was originally built to run mail from Skagway to Dawson during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898. Stuart’s life evolved in these gold fields, and he and his family operate the most respected mines in the Klondike.
We love the history, the story of this land, and the gold that helped build it.
